MATTSON TECHNOLOGY WINS FOLLOW-ON STRIP ORDER FROM LEADING
OFFICE AUTOMATION EQUIPMENT SUPPLIER
FREMONT,
Calif. — June 24, 2003 — Mattson Technology
Inc. (NASDAQ: MTSN), a leading supplier of advanced process
equipment used to manufacture semiconductors, today announced
that it has won a follow-on order for its Aspen ICP Strip
system from one of the world’s leading suppliers of
office automation equipment. The sale marks the latest in
a string of wins for Mattson’s Aspen Strip line and
extends Mattson’s installed base of strip systems in
the Asia Pacific region. The Aspen Strip system is scheduled
to ship by the end of the second quarter in 2003 and will
be installed in the customer’s facility in Japan.
